Feral is the insight of a few months in the life of Hayley Rosa, a girl who has nothing but a bitter will to fight. Upon drifting to the docklands of Alta city to scrape a living hustling with her fists, she is beaten for the first time by the highly skilled Dr Brandt. It was a new and humiliating experience for her, something that she couldn't shake off and leave alone.
Upon learning that Brandt is in the top tier of a prestigious fighting circuit based in the city, she joins up to prove herself and take the doctor down by beating him at his own game. Between Hayley and the Doctor stood a set of brutally proficient and sadistic fighters from all over the world who would test Hayley to the very brink of her ability.
Among the battles however, she neglects the demons rising up inside her with every fight, chewing at her morals and sanity, fueled by a dangerous iron will to win and a past she cannot let go. The more she suppresses everything but her rage, the greater the cost of her actions become...

Welcome to the FERAL CIRCUIT
FERAL is a story based on honor, sportsmanship and integrity, but with a good helping of people getting kicked in the face. The artist, Matt 'Dr.Dubz' Warwick has this weird obsession with that sort of thing. What began as 'any old excuse to to draw martial arts' soon turned into a larger, deeper story. Inspired by martial arts and their core disciplines, the comic will weave a tale of struggling through humbling defeat and generally re-forming ones state of mind beyond that of the will to simply win. After all, defeat comes in many forms, even in victory, as the protagonist Hayley Rosa comes to find.
The story is set in Alta Docklands, a large, rough area of Alta where the majority of the leisure industry of the city is based. It is here that Hayley attempts to make a name for herself within the FERAL circuit, an old semi-underground fighting organisation that is both famous and infamous around Alta and much of the world. In FERAL, the fighters fight for hard cash and those who win are substantially rewarded. Despite the underground nature of the circuit, sportsmanship is a key element and as such cheaters and frauds are pushed out of both the circuit and the city, often forcibly.
The huge amount of revenue the circuit pulled in meant that FERAL's roots were set deep within the city decades ago, treading the thin line between legal and illegal. The principles of the circuit itself date even further back and generally remain unchanged in the current day and age. These principles allow the fighters to cut loose but still maintain a degree of discipline, and the wealthy backers of the FERAL CIRCUIT itself reward the fighters based on their standing. Simply put, the more skilled, honourable and respected you are, the more you earn.
